Most of us are used to missing breakfast probably because of our busy schedules. This is not good, as breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives you energy for all your activities throughout the day. As important as it is to eat breakfast, it is even better to miss breakfast than to eat the wrong or unhealthy breakfast.

However, eating the right food can give you energy and prevent you from eating too much during the day. Here is a list of the best things that can be eaten for breakfast.

Eggs are very healthy, and are suitable to be eaten as breakfast. Eating eggs at breakfast increases the feeling of fullness, reduces calorie intake in the next meal and also helps to maintain steady blood sugar and insulin level. Eggs are also a good source of choline which is very important for the brain and liver.

2. Greek yogurt

Greek yogurt is made from straining whey and other liquids from the curds, which in turn produce a creamier yogurt that is very high in protein. Protein reduces feelings of hunger and also has a higher thermic effect on fat and carbs. Thermic effect here refers to the increase in metabolic rate that occurs after eating.

3. Coffee

Coffee is high in caffeine which has been shown to increase mood alertness and mental performance. Coffee can also increase metabolic rate and fat burning.

4. Oat meal

Oat meal is a good choice, if you love cereals. Oat meal is made from ground oats, which contain a unique fiber called beta-glucan. This fiber also has the ability to reduce the cholesterol level in the body. In addition to this, beta-glucan is a viscous fiber that promotes feelings of fullness. Berries can reduce markers of inflammation, prevent blood cholesterol from becoming oxidized and keep the cells, lining your blood vessels healthy.

It is a personal choice if you eat breakfast or not, but it is advisable that you eat breakfast and what you eat also matters.
