You probably have a gum disease if you spit pink every time you brush your teeth.
Mild gum disease, or gingivitis is the growth bacteria-laden plaque and tarter on your teeth, that only a dentist can remove.
1. How gum disease gets worse
Inflammation and swelling increase around your gums as long as plaque stays there. By simply brushing your teeth, the swollen gums will be irritated and will then bleed afterwards.The problem is most guys do not even know that they have gingivitis because it normally does not cause pain until it gets worse And you should not let it get to that point.
If gingivitis is left untreated and not attended to, it can turn into periodontists. Your teeth mat loosen, or in worse cases, fall out or need to be removed.Gum diseases affect more than just your mouth, it is linked to an increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
2. How to keep your teeth and gums healthy?
If your gums are giving you trouble, you should fix an appointment with your dentist. Rheumatoid arthritis could also be triggered by the bacteria responsible for gum disease.
Practicing good oral hygiene is the only way to get rid of or avoid gingivitis. You should brush twice a day and floss every night to discourage the buildup of plaque.
You should also make an appointment with dentist. Persons with bleeding gyms or signs of cavities—toothache, pain when eating cold or hot food, or pain when you bite, should get their teeth cleaned every three months.
If you do not have any symptoms now, but have had cavities in the past, you still have to make an appointment you’re your dentist every six months.
3. How having a clean toothbrush helps
After use, it only takes 30 seconds for a new toothbrush to get contaminated by bacteria, viruses, and fungi in the mouth or external environment. These colonies, if left unchecked grows and diversifies on the brush head.
Toothbrushes don’t only harbor germs, they transmit them too, increasing the risk of infection with each use.
