Despite trying different means to get rid of extra fat, it could be tiring if you realize you are not losing weight as you should. There might be a number of reasons following this, some of which are explained below.
1. You’re building muscle
Building muscles is actually a great idea, but you should understand that muscles weigh more than fats. This can cause the figures on the scale not to significantly reduce as you expect. However, this doesn’t mean you aren’t making progress, you aren’t just seeing it on the scale yet.
Your toned body should make you a little comfortable that it isn’t a waste after all. You can try a pair of jean, to know if there’s a change compared to the last time you wore it.
2. You’re not being strict enough
Weight loss is sometimes about following some strict rules. You don’t have to be that person who seems to be taking diet and exercising serious, but there are no results. It is not about making plans on exercising or dieting, but about doing these things right.
When you set out to workout for 30 minutes daily, what kinds of exercise do you engage in? When you hit the gym, do you spend all day chatting with friends and working out less? Do you still sneak in some unhealthy foods because they are your favorites, but don’t really eat healthy? Consider these things and know if you are actually following the basic things you need to and not just being busy with weight loss for no reason.
3. You’re relying on a juice cleanse
Relying on juice cleanse for weight management is not great for your health. This is because they involve consuming nothing but organic juices for days. These juices are low in protein and have very few calories, which will put your body in starvation mode, get you tired easily, and slow your metabolism.
You can’t possibly burn fat this way and even if you will, it will be due to starvation and it will return as soon as you get back on your proper diet.
These are some possible reasons why you aren’t losing weight as expected.
