Managing diabetes is a challenge every day. There are so many variables to keep in mind. Food, exercise, stress, general health etc, that keeping blood sugar levels in the desired range is a constant balancing act.

Eating right is essential to the treatment and management of diabetes. For people with diabetes, managing carbohydrate intake and making healthy food choices is helpful and important. Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose. So if you eat too much of them, your blood sugar level may rise.

2. Exercising and diabetes

Because diabetes is tied to obesity, it is much more important for those with diabetes to get moving with some exercise. Exercise has so many health benefits, but a lot of times getting started can be difficult.

The good news is that to reap the benefits of physical activity, you just have to move more during the day. Gyms and expensive exercise equipment are not necessary at all. Don’t underestimate the power of physical activity and adequate sleep also don’t sit around, get moving.

3. Create medication reminders

Struggling to remember to check your blood sugar levels or take your medications on time. Set an alarm on your phone or digital calendar to remind you. You might also use a pillbox to keep medicine organized.
