3 Tips to Lose Weight After Having Your First ChildCertainly no one likes looking out of shape and flabby after delivery, especially if it’s the first child. Many mothers would still want to look smart and sharp, no matter what. Often times, we see stars interviewed in newspapers, magazines, and the television, about how they got to lose the “baby weight” so soon.

The truth is that most of them had to use tough methods to let it go, or even used some risky procedures. Below are 3 easy ways to lose weight after having your first child:

1. Don’t diet

This may seem like an irony but it is actually the fact. Imagine if you decide to stick to a particular diet for weight loss and you don’t get to eat your favorite meals, you may end up getting depressed and frustrated, considering that you are breastfeeding your baby.

It’ll be worse if that’s your first child and you are still new into motherhood. Depression and frustration can result in weight gain, which won’t be helping you in any way. It can as well affect your child, as they may turn out to be malnourished, since you are.

You should rather choose well-nourishing foods with fewer calories, but at the same time, you shouldn’t eat less than 1,800 a day, especially if you are still breastfeeding.

2. Drink adequate amounts of water

Taking enough water needed for the body does not only save you from dehydration and boosts metabolism, but also fills you so up that you don’t get to eat more than you should.

To determine how much you should drink daily, you can find out by checking the color of your urine or by keeping track of how often you go to pee. Lesser water intake will mean scanty and a deep colored urine, while it is the opposite for adequate water.

3. Breastfeed

Breastfeeding is a great means of losing weight, of which many women are not aware of. Do you know you can burn about 600 to 800 calories a day through breastfeeding? Yes, you read right! This is all some people do, and they actually get done with the baby fat, while some may have to go the extra mile.

You may not get the perfect body like that celebrity you admire or get your desired result immediately, but there will always be changes. You need to understand that our bodies have different mechanisms and what works for one does not necessarily have to work for another.
