What Changes Occur When You Give up Dairy Products?

Since the turn of the 21st century, a lot of medical professionals along with other “regular folks” – especially the vegans, have come up with a theory that dairy products are bad for you and can even cause diseases!

How true is this? To a certain extent it is, but for the most part, it has been exaggerated.

Which part and how? Dairy product tend to increase the weight of its consumers and if the milk or dairy product has not been properly pasteurized, then there are high chances of the consumers getting sick with infections such as the bovine leukemia virus which has now been linked to human breast cancer for the first time!

This “might” be due to the 59 active hormones, scores of allergens, fat and cholesterol that are present in all cow milk, both organic and regular. Some milk have even been found to contain feces and even radioactive waste. A scientist said that cow milk is good for the calves when they are young and not humans!

So here is what happens when you stop taking diary products:

1. Stronger bones

This in itself is a paradox. As a kid, I am pretty sure, most of us were told that drinking milk gave you strong bones because of the calcium, right? Wrong!

According to a Swedish study, women whose intake of dairy milk was high were found to be at a greater risk of bone fractures as compared to women who drank a small amount.

2. Cancer

If your diet is high in dairy products, your chances of developing prostate cancer increases and if your diet does not contain any dairy products, you still have a chance of developing prostate cancer!

This same study showed that women who consumed four or more servings of dairy products each day were twice as likely to develop serous ovarian cancer as those who consumed two or fewer servings of dairy products each day.

3. Skin conditions

Acne is one of the skin conditions that is the hardest to get under control and even more, to get rid of. A study showed that drinking milk can increase the prevalence and the severity of this skin condition.

4. Conclusion

At the end of the day, you, with the help of your doctor, should form your own opinion on this matter seeing that it is super controversial but I’ll say that know what you are putting in your body.
