Getting Rid of Bad Breath

It is pretty easy to improve your breath and keep your teeth and gums healthy at the same time. Just try this simple steps to make your mouth feel fresh and clean.

1. Brush and floss more often

Plaque which is the sticky build up on your teeth, collects bacteria which in the end cause bad breath. Trapped food also adds to the bad breath problem.

Brush your teeth at least twice a daily and floss at least once a day. If you are bothered about your breath, do both a little more often. Make sure not to overdo things. If you brush to hard, you can wear down your teeth making them very vulnerable to decay.

2. Rinse your mouth out

Besides freshening your breath, a mouthwash can add extra protection by getting rid of bacteria. A fresh minty taste do so well in making you feel good. But always make sure, that the mouth wash you choose kills the germs, that cause bad breath. Don’t just cover up the bad smell. Rinse daily with a good mouthwash and stop bad breath and its source.

Another way to help your breath is to swish your mouth with plain water, after you eat. It can get rid of food of food particles that get stuck in your teeth.

3. Scrape your tongue

The coating that usually forms on your tongue can be the abode of smelly bacteria. To get rid of them, brush your tongue gently with your toothbrush.

If you have a brush, that is too big to comfortably reach at the back of your tongue try getting a scraper. They are specially designed to apply even pressure across the surface of the tongue. This would remove the debris of food, bacteria and dead cells, that brushing alone cannot take care off.
