Who doesn’t know about cashew nuts? They are the seeds found underneath the cashew fruit. They are actually indigenous to Brazil, but a lot of people have thought they come from the Portuguese. Cashew nuts are filled with anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals which are required for the normal functioning of the body and have a lot of health benefits. I have listed a few of these benefits below:

Proanthocyanidins are a class of flavonols found in cashew nuts. They fight against tumor cells by stopping them to divide further. They are high in copper content and this helps to fight against cancerous cells and also keeps you away from colon cancer.

2. Cashews give you a healthier heart

Cashews are low in their fat content when compared to other nuts and that also in the oleic acid form which is very healthy for the heart. Cashews are cholesterol free and the antioxidants present keeps you away from heart diseases.

3. Cashews lower high blood pressure

Cashew nuts lower your blood pressure with the help of magnesium present in them.

4. Cashews help with the health of your hair

Copper is a very essential mineral which helps your hair get that color you want. You can the black hair you always wished for if you inculcate cashew nuts into your diet because they are very rich in copper.

5. Cashews give healthy bones

Just like calcium, magnesium too is important for bone heath and this is the main content of cashew nuts.

6. Cashews give you healthy nerves

Magnesium is stored on the bones surface which prevents calcium from entering the nerve cells and thus keeps the blood vessels and muscles relaxed. Insufficient amounts of magnesium can lead calcium to enter the blood vessels leading them to contract. It also leads to high blood pressure, migraine headache etc.
