Parkinson’s disease is nervous system disorder that develops and worsen with the passage of time. Parkinson’s disease causes malfunction of vital move able body parts of the body. Another symptom of Parkinson’s disease could be noticed while writing, writing continuously on a line might become a problem.
Swift movement of arms and legs while walking would become a problem. Arms and legs might become stiff while moving, joints might also hurt while walking speech might tends to be slower and voice might become softer or sound dry. Lips might also seem to be numb while talking.
Blinking of the eyes might occur less often than usual. Constantly Feeling lightheaded mostly while trying to stand or while walking. In later stages of Parkinson’s disease there could be total loss of ability to move smell or speak, if proper treatment is not taken.
2. Treatments of Parakinson’s disease
Parkinson’s disease doesn’t have a cure. But there are several treatments which help to reduce or control these symptoms.
Medications can be prescribed by the doctor to increase the action of dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is chemical that acts as a link between the substantia nigra and other parts of the brain.
This connection between the substantia nigra and other parts of the brain control muscle movement in the body. A patient suffering from Parkinson’s disease has less than 40% of dopamine producing cells which kept on reducing with the passage of time. Medication prescribed to a Parkinson’s disease, increases the production of dopamine and improves symptoms associated with Parkinsons disease. Surgery, therapy and deep brain Stimulation are also available to improve symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
