Six Important Reasons Why People Don’t Lose Weight

Have you ever wondered why some people never seem to lose weight? On the other hand, you may fail to lose weight even after diets and working out. I personally have been a victim of this problem.

So here are few cold, hard truths about why you’re not losing weight:

1) Skipping breakfast

When you skip the first meal of the day, it can work against you, you tend to get hungrier and over do it during lunch. Eat within an hour of waking up, eat food high in fibers and protein, this will help you feel full all through the day.

2) You are eating back all the calories you burn

Exercising alone won’t help you lose weight, people tend to over estimate the calories burnt during a workout and underestimate the calories they take in after the workout. You may eat foods that are high in calories and you say “well I worked out today”. If you fall into this category this is probably why you are not losing any weight.

3) Eating close to bed time

There are so many reasons why we shouldn’t eat late, it may raise your body temperature, blood sugar and insulin levels, which makes it harder for you to lose weight or burn fat. Try eating 3-4 hours before going to bed. Also, be careful about snacking after dinner as you tend to take in more calories that way.

4) Eating unhealthy food

Processed food are very unhealthy, especially when taken in excess. Eating healthy food can improve your health and help regulate your appetite. These foods tend to be more filling than processed foods.

5) Not drinking enough water

Drinking Water is very important. Drinking water has been shown to boost the amount of calories burnt by 24-30% over a period of on and a half hours. Drink water in the morning to cleanse the system and before each meal to prevent eating too much.

6) Not sleeping well

Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most important things to consider for the improvement of your physical and mental health, as well as your weight. Numerous research studies has shown that lack of sleep is one of the biggest risk factors for obesity.

Weight loss seems simple, but it doesn’t happen easily, but many people like me have fought this hard battle and won and you can too. You will need to be consistent and never give up.
