How to Cure Dark Toe Nails Naturally

We wake up one morning and look at our feet, and are scared, because we are wondering whose toes are these? Staring right back at you are dark toe nails and you are wondering what must have happened for these to appear on your feet.

Here are these natural treatments to help, if these don’t work, go visit your doctor;

Apple Cider Vinegar

Most toe nails darkening are as a result of fungi present. ACV; mildly acidic, helps to kill the bacteria and fungi present and stop it from spreading.  How to do; mix equal dosage of ACV and water or warm water and soak your feet for 30 minutes, after which you dry your toe nails and toes thoroughly. Do this daily and wait for results.

Tea Tree Oil

This is used to treat skin infections as well as toe nail issues. It has antifungal and antiseptic properties here is How to do; mix a few drops of tea tree oil and olive oil or coconut oil, then dab a cotton ball on the oil and apply on the affect area, or you can wrap the cotton ball and take the area for 10 minutes so it can absorb. Then use a toothbrush specifically for this purpose and brush well. Do this daily to get your desired results.

Baking Soda

This kitchen recipe is your cure that has been sitting on a shelf for years. It helps cure the fungus present and kills any foul odor too.  How to do;  mix 1 and half cup of baking soda with salt and one –fourth cup of hydrogen peroxide, and one fourth cup of white vinegar in hot water.

Mix properly and then place your feet in this solution for 10 minutes for your toe nails to absorb this mixture, after which you wash with water and dry properly. Do this daily for 2 weeks to see desired results.

White Vinegar

This also helps for the fungus treatment and also restores the pH of the skin. How to do; mix a cup vinegar with enough warm water to slightly reach above your ankle. Soak your toenails in the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes, wash off and dry completely. Repeat daily until your feet is cleared of the fungus. If your feet is getting irritated due to the vinegar, simply add more water

Oil of Oregano

This oil contains antibacterial, antifungal properties, antiviral, antiseptic and analgesic properties to help the cure of fungus. How to do; mix two drops of oregano oil and olive oil and put on the area, allow for 30 minute to an 1 hour. Wash off toes and dry properly. Repeat daily.

Listerine Mouthwash

This is used to for the mouth to kill germs and bacteria. It can also be used for the toes too. It has strong alcohol components that acts as antiseptic to keep fungi away.

To do this, use a tub or a wide bucket that can fit your feet. Use Listerine or a combination of Listerine and white vinegar to fill the bucket, then soak the affected area in the mixture for about 30 minutes. Wash and dry toes and scrub gently. Or you could simply rinse and dry off well. Do this daily.
