Losing weight isn’t all about spending hours at the gym and following some strict diet rules. Sometimes, it only takes a few changes in everyday lifestyle. A lot of people aren’t considering weight loss, simply because of how tedious, it all seems to be, forgetting the fact, that being overweight poses risks to the health. You don’t really have to give up on weight loss completely, simply because, you can’t hit the gym or follow some boring strict rules. You may want to check out these easy ways to burn more calories.
1. Chew gum
Several studies have found chewing gum to help curb people’s cravings and instinct to snack, which eventually cuts about 10% calories. You can’t possibly snack with gum in your mouth, you’ll have to take out the gum in order to fill your mouth with snacks. But then, taking out the gum should remind you of how you are working on burning calories. So, just chew the gum.
2. Drink coffee
This will be a great idea if you really love coffee. Caffeine has been shown to boost the amount of calories the body burns for about 3 hours, making it just great to reduce calories and improve weight loss. To get the best of your coffee, ensure you don’t take it ordinarily for breakfast. You can pack a meal rich in fiber and protein, just so you can eat it as soon as you get hungry. Else, you may end up eating something really unhealthy when you get hungry by mid-morning.
3. Eat more Thai food
Thai food is probably that meal you’ve been searching for. By eating Thai food, you get to boost your metabolism, up to 21%. Thai food uses healthy spices such as turmeric, galangal, coriander, lemon grass and fresh chilies, all of which help to boost the immune-system and fight diseases that may harm your body. You really want to try this meal out.
4. Substitute your chair with a balance ball
Sitting on a chair will make you really relaxed and less physically active. Being physically active will help you lose weight, so you may have to switch the chair to a balance ball. Although the stability ball won’t make you as relaxed as the chair would, but it will help stabilize your core muscles and can help you burn extra 250 calories if you’re consistent with it.
