Losing 10 Pounds Is Simpler Than You Think

Losing weight can be hard, but not as hard as a lot of people think it is. You don’t necessarily have to starve yourself for days and end up looking sad and frustrated. Here are 5 habits you have to develop to lose 10 pounds:

1. Drink more water

The issue of drinking water for a healthy lifestyle may have been over-used, but many people still do not know how much it benefits the body. Drinking adequate water helps to promote weight loss, boosts the immune system, prevents cramps and strains, and also flushes out toxins, among others. For effective and faster results, you are recommended to drink at least 8 cups of water daily.

2. Have a meal prep day

Having a meal prep day is as important as having a meal itself. You can’t just rush into meals as you wish, because you are likely to end up eating what you probably shouldn’t and that may disrupt your weight loss program. Have a day when you sit and list out those things you need in your kitchen, and prepare your meals ahead of time so that they are available when you need them.

3. Eat a balanced diet

While you try to lose weight, you may end up losing muscle mass if care is not taken, which is why your meals have to be balanced. It is really not about reducing the size of your food or ditching your favorite meals, but about eating what’s right. Opt for foods rich in fiber and protein, take a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, and much more importantly, learn to eat home made meals.

4. Eat good fats

Unlike what many people think, eating fats is not  always bad, it just depends on the kind of fat you take in. Unsaturated fats are considered healthy but avoid fatty foods like butter, margarine, mayonnaise, cream, oils, pastries, fried foods, sweets, cakes, chocolate, and biscuits. Rather than taking tropical oil, which isn’t healthy, you can opt for olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, and sunflower oil.

5. Exercise

You also need to exercise to get that extra fat off your body. You can try out cardio exercises like walking, jogging, running, and swimming. Although these exercises seem petty, they are really effective when you stick to them.

Although it sounds too good to be true, you can lose 10 pounds in a matter of days, using the above-mentioned habits.
