5 Foods Women Should Avoid for Weight Loss

When you are trying to improve your health and lose weight, there are certain foods that you should avoid. There are many foods that we eat thinking they are healthy but some of them contain ingredients that are known to cause weight gain.

1. Bread

Avoid eating bread, because it have less nutritional value and it contains lot of sugar and does not have the ability to keep you satisfied, so within a few more hours, you are likely to find yourself feeling hungry and reaching for something else. Because of this, you can gain more weight because of the many foods you consume.

2. Alcohol

In other to lose weight, alcohol should be put aside because even a glass may look unobjectionable but its accumulative effects can impede weight loss. Alcohol is the first thing your body burns before it moves to anything else. So until your body gets rid of alcohol from your system, you won’t burn any fat or loss any weight.

3. Whole milk

Milk is good but some are loaded with extra fats and cholesterol that should be avoided. If you want milk, go for the skimmed kind and enjoy goodness of milk without worrying about any calories.

4. Tropical fruit juice

Fruit juice out of a cartoon seems convenient for a quick breakfast, but sometimes it is just a fruit juice full of calories. If you want to lose weight, you are better off eating the whole fruit which gives you fiber as well.

Fruits are good but sometimes, there are some you may want to avoid if your objective is to lose weight. Try avoiding fruits such as mangoes and pineapples as they are especially high in natural sugars.

5. Salads

Salads are extremely good. In fact they are an excellent choice if you want to lose weight but, it is the salad dressing that’s the bad side of it. It is no point ordering a garden salad at a restaurant if you top it up with a high fat salad dressing. Especially when you have salts in them which is loaded with sodium which increases the risk of high blood pressure.
