Foods to Eat to Avoid Constipation and Aid Digestion

Have you ever found it difficult to just ease yourself from the much accumulated in your system? The un-comfortability of having to carry a heavy body everywhere you go? Constipation can be avoided as this is the cause of eating the wrong foods, or eating too much of everything with little to no space in between eating periods. Beans, lentils and all other proteins

To combat constipation, one has to avoid eating too much as this can cause congestion in the digestive system aiding a slow metabolism. One has to consider eating foods that will help them feel full, prolonging eating periods so as to provide space or time for foods to digest before heading for the next meal. Protein foods serves this purpose, as it aids in getting one full and easy digestion.

Water

Always be in the habit of drinking water throughout the day. As soon as you wake up, before eating breakfast, after eating breakfast,  between breakfast and lunch period, before lunch, after lunch, between lunch and dinner period, before dinner and after dinner. Drink some more before heading to bed.

One might consider this, a lot of drinking, but it’s not as your body needs water to help it work efficiently. You lose water from stress, heat, as a waste product, the more you do this, the better your digestive system, as it will aid food flow quickly, you will lose weight that have being difficult to lose, and your skin will glow due to the toxins that are flushed out from constant drinking of water. If water seems to a lot to take in spice it up with some lemon for taste. Carry one with you where you go or don’t be far from one.

Eat spicy foods

Spicy foods are known to aid one’s appetite, also they tend to act as “flushers”. They work up the digestive system, i.e. aid faster metabolism. Find a way to add a lot of pepper to your dish or other spices that can trigger the flow of food easily. If you can’t take in pepper due to health conditions, ask your doctor for a better substitute according to your health issue.

Add more vegetables

Vegetables are full of antioxidants. Helping the body to feel full and eliminate constipation issues. Adding this to your diet will do well for your system. Find creative ways to add more veggies to your foods and less carbohydrates and fat. Let them take up 50% of your food, proteins 45% and carbohydrates and fats in the 5% category.

Fruits

Fruits should be major addition to your foods as they aid in easy digestion an also giving you the necessary nutrients. You could eat them whole or make them into delicious smoothies that can be substituted for the sugar and unhealthy drinks out there.
