As much as all of us love to keep our skin glowing and void of any indicators of aging, we sometimes lack ideas on how exactly to prevent your skin from degenerating. At other times, we are just being careful because the skin is tricky and there are different types of skins. You have to understand what works for your skin and what doesn’t. There are a lot of ideas for your skin and I’ll be sharing a few of them here and how they can benefit you.
1. Wash your face clean, not necessarily with hot water
Many people think that hot water is the only means to get the perfect skin, which is not true. As a matter of fact, hot water is dangerous for your skin as it causes redness and irritation, especially in people who have sensitive skin. This can expose the skin to many other kinds of risks and even worsen its state. You can opt for lukewarm water instead, to wash your face and even all the parts of your body. This keeps you clean.
2. Exfoliate without scrubbing
Exfoliate your skin, but you really do not have to scrub it very hard to do that, as some of the brands sold in stores can be harsh for the skin. You can try to exfoliate with fruits, which will not have any adverse effect on your skin. Try mashed strawberries, fresh pineapple chunks, and so on. The acid level of whichever fruit you use should also be kept into consideration, as some may not tally with your skin type. You should also be mindful of fruits that you are allergic to.
3. Use oil
Oil is very effective in moisturizing your skin, and there are many vegetable oils out there that serve this purpose. Rub coconut oil on your face and body after taking a shower, or even olive oil, almond oil, sesame oil, and so on, based on your preference. Over time, there will be noticeable changes on your skin.
4. Eat healthy
Eat foods that are rich in nutrients. What you take in has a great effect on what your outer appearance will look like. When you eat right, it will reflect on your skin and give you a healthier and younger look. Drink a lot of water and eat fresh fruits and vegetables more often.
There is so much news concerning what to use on the skin and what not to use. This, by itself, can be misleading that you may end up going for the wrong option. It is, however, important you that understand that what doesn’t work for you may work for someone else. We all do not have the same skin type.
