Eggs are generally considered as one of the healthiest foods to consume, especially for breakfast or dinner. While eggs may contain a low amount of calories, they are known to contain some of the highest deposit of proteins and are loaded with a host of nutrients and essential minerals, but some experts have opined, that the manner in which it is prepared can determine the nutritional values it render to your body, so in this article I will be explaining to you some of the various ways you can prepare your eggs and still maintain their nutritional value.
1. Boiled Eggs
This is by far the most simplest of all ways to prepare an egg and all you will need is just a medium sized saucepan depending on the number of eggs you want to boil. Then fill the saucepan with water to half of its full size and place the eggs in the saucepan. Once you have done this, place the saucepan with the eggs in it, over the fire and allow the water to boil to a 100o, then remove the eggs from the hot water and put them in a cool water, once it is cooled, crack the egg and peel.
2. Fried Eggs
Apart from boiling eggs, frying it is also one of the most common and highly nutritious ways for preparing eggs. To prepare this, get a teaspoon of butter or oil into a frying pan and allow the frying pan to heat-up till the butter melts. Then crack the raw egg in a container or a saucer, add the ingredients you want to fry the egg with, onions, spices, vegetables etc, and then pour all of it into the frying pan, allow it to cook for about 6 minutes and remove.
3. Poached Eggs
You may also choose to prepare your eggs in this manner to get the utmost of the nutrients there are. You start by heating a moderate quantity of water in a saucepan and while the water is boiling, crack your egg into a container and then slowly slide the egg in the boiling water and then allow it to cook for about 2-4 minutes.
4. Quiche Baked Eggs
Preheat your oven to about to about 3750 and by spreading 1 cup of shredded cheese over a baked piecrust, then, in a big saucer add a cup of milk together with six eggs and a pinch of salt. Once that is done pour all of it over the cheese and allow it to bake for about 40 minutes.
