5 Homemade Remedies to Eradicate Stretch Marks

One of the most uncomfortable sights on our body when we look at the mirror are stretch marks. Stretch marks can make you feel self-conscious and uncomfortable about your appearance. Whilst some people don’t have any qualms exhibiting them, but we all have that feeling when we see one or two lines of an off hue color on our skin. It is totally natural and should not be for any cause of alarm as there are ways to help remove them from the body.

1. Castor oil

Castor oil, which is used in the treatment of a number of skin problems ranging from pimples to moles, can also be used to get rid of stretch marks. To know how to do this, apply some castor oil to the affected area and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes. Then wrap the area with a cotton cloth, use a heating pad to apply some heat on the covered area.

2. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is effective in the treatment of many skin problems. Here are a few ways to apply it.

  • Directly rub aloe vera gel on the affected skin area and leave it there for 15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Another method is to mix Aloe vera gel, with vitamin capsule oils and oil from vitamin A capsules. Rub onto the skin and allow it for a little while. Then rinse off. Repeating this process daily will cause a transformation.

3. Egg white

Eggs are a rich source of protein. For this cause, only the egg white is needed. Whip the egg white with a fork, clean the area with water, then apply the egg white on the surface using a makeup brush or something to smear the top. Allow to dry then rise with water, then apply some olive oil on the skin to keep it moisturized. Repeat for at least 2 weeks to for effective results.

4. Lemon juice

Another method to lose stretch marks is to use lemon juice as it is naturally acidic in its content, it helps to heal the marks on the body. Rub a generous amount of lemon juice on the affected areas and allow to soak into the skin for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off with water.

5. Sugar

Sugar has very good exfoliating properties and is not only good for perfecting the skin but for its healing and restoring properties. Mix sugar with almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice and apply on the affected areas, allow it for a few minutes every day before showering and your stretch marks would be less than recognizable.
